I really appreciate our talented, dedicated staff. With their help, we are able to take good care of your pets and give you the help and support you need.
We are thrilled to announce Dr. Amanda Veatch has joined our doctor group and will be seeing appointments three days a week starting in January, 2017. She has been a tremendous help already when she covered several vacation shifts and maternity leave for us in 2016. She’s been a great fit with our clinic – our clients, patients and staff love her. Dr. Veatch has over 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Her work at VCA North West Veterinary Specialists was great and she saw a wide range of cases and learned quite a bit about treating sick and injured pets. She’s thankful to be making the change now to our general practice so she can have more regular contact with you, our clients and our patients. It’s a wonderful privilege to see pets come back year after year and help them stay happy and healthy.
Dr. Veatch grew up in Missouri and attended the veterinary school at the University of Missouri. She graduated in 2005 and completed a small animal internship at the University of Washington, Pullman in 2006. She really enjoys internal medicine and the challenge of figuring out what is wrong with sick patients and helping them feel better. She also enjoys surgery and dentistry. On her days off, she enjoys biking, snowboarding and hiking the wonderful, beautiful Pacific Northwest. On rainy days, she prefers sipping a craft beer and taking in some live music or reading a book. She also volunteers at the Feral Cat Coalition and the Portland Animal Welfare Team.
